About

Our interdisciplinary doctoral program aims to address the challenges of modern higher education in Taiwan, particularly the need to break down the rigid boundaries between departments that hinder cross-disciplinary integration and development.

In response to this, our doctoral program is college-centric, with departments serving as supporting units. This structure allows the college to be in charge of the coordination of faculty resources, curriculum development, and facility allocation.

This organizational model offers numerous advantages. Firstly, it provides significant flexibility in curriculum design and research topics, enabling doctoral students and their advisors to collaboratively determine research directions and proactively plan potential elective courses, thereby fostering interdisciplinary research synergies. Secondly, given the rapid changes in the global scientific landscape and evolving national demands for higher education talents, the structure of this program allows swift adaptation, accurately reflecting the latest research trends and high-level talent requirements.
